My first fear in going here was the service. Why? Because I'm 23 working professional but look like I'm 16 (as I've been told.) Many time at ritzy places such as this one, its a hit or miss, but this time it was a hit! Although our server seemed kinda strange (the slow mono toned humor) our server gave us excellent service and didn't give us a judgmental atmosphere.
For our first appetizer we ordered the Petrossian Caviar. It was pretty neat and this was our first time having Caviar other then sushi. We didn't really know what we were doing, but at this point were spending enough money to not care how we eat and just had fun.The appetizer came with capers, cutup onions, rosemary and what I believe to be toasted wonder bread.
The second appetizer was mushroom filled with escargots. The only issue I had with this dish is that it did not have the traditional pesto sauce. Instead it was substituted with olive oil. If only it had pesto sauce. But none the less it was some what enjoyable.
Finally after all the apps we went onto he main course. The Prime Rib. It was a very large cut of Prime Rib. Around had bits of fat, but it did not take over the entire Prime rib.
There wasn't much seasoning other then the salt and pepper, and on the side was sliced horse radish. They had the Prime Rib sauce for us but I'm used to Huston's old style of Butter and crushed horse radish.
Prime Rib was overall good. The food was nice and the atmosphere was pleasant. However, if I did return I would ask for a normal table instead of the half moon one we got, and also I would share a slice portion instead of getting two individual Prime Rib, as we had taken the left overs home in a plastic bag that was tied. Which was the second strange thing, for a restaurant of this caliber I would expect the left overs be put into boxes or containers, instead our left overs were put into plastic sandwich bags. Overall this place was enjoyable.
